    zaibatsu refer to a group of really powerful people (usually business moguls/conglomerates) that control a large parts of Japanese' economy until their fall after Japan's loss in world war II. Zaibatsu controlled a lot of Japanese Banks and Companies and had a very deep connection with Japanese military officials
