Which best describes the conflict and resolution between Laocoön and the Trojans in the Iliad and the Odyssey?

A. Laocoön tells the Trojans not to bring the wooden horse into Troy, but Poseidon sends a sea serpent that devours him and his sons, so the Trojans do not heed his advice.

B. Laocoön argues that, since the Greeks are their enemies, the Trojans must not trust them, so the Trojans allow the wooden horse to be devoured by sea serpents.

C. Laocoön wants to knock down part of the wall that surrounds Troy to make it easier to get the horse inside, but the Trojans think that he is working for the Greeks and trying to trick them, so they refuse.

D. Laocoön encourages the Trojans to bring the wooden horse into Troy, but the Trojans refuse because they believe the story he tells about his escape from the Greeks is false.
