Why did Jackson and Lee seem unbeatable?

The Union seemed to have every advantage and still kept losing.

Lincoln could not seem to decide on a decent general.

They consistently had more men at their disposal in battle.

There was less political pressure to do well in the South.

They had won huge victories despite their underdog status.

    Lincoln could not decide on a decent general.

    Jackson and Lee had a LOT of experience in war. The Union, while it had more resources and people, didn't have as good strategy or tactics because its generals were bad. It was only until General Ulysses S. Grant came along that the Union could win.
