    The church provided education, at first through monks and later at universities staffed by priests and The church donated all its property and wealth to landless peasants, so they might become self-sufficient are correct statments but the secobnd one is to ilustrative but this is a fact that in Medieval period Church was responsible for everything that we call social security in these days and provided charity and encurged secualr people todo charity either, and tehre is oneobjection to first stament there were ofcourse preists on university but most of stuff in universities were secular contrary to cathedral schools which also provided higher education
