Is there anything the colonists or British government could've done to avoid the Revolution?

    Had the British not taxed the colonists unfairly and gave them more representation in Parliament, I believe the revolution would've been avoided for a little bit longer, but not entirely. Eventually, the colonists would want their independence no matter what.
