Why were the Crusaders so successful in the first Crusade?

    The reason why the Crusaders were so successful in the first Crusade was that the Turks were already weak from fighting themselves - B.

    Contrary to common thought, at the times there was no single unified muslim resistance that was fighting the Crausaders, at least in the beginning. There were a lot of fractions that were fighting between themselves and against the Crusaders.
