    The Bombing of pearl harbor (by the japanese) involved the U. S in ww2 after the U. S being neutral for so long. This sank the american spirits.

    The event that caused the United States to declare war was when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. The United States didn't want to be involved in the war because of the previous the war, but after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, the United States didn't like that and went to war.
