How were subsistence crops different from cash crops in the Southern colonies?

    The subsistence crops were mainly grown for survival and not for trade or selling. This means that if you were growing subsistence crops you were doing it to survive and feed off of these crops. Cash crops were grown for trading, selling, and also living off of.
