How did America's past with Great Britain affect its first form of government (the Articles of Confederation) ?

They were worried about living in another tyrannical monarchy like Britain, so they created a system (the articles of confederation) that was incredibly weak. This was quickly proven to be a poor system of government, so they created the constitution.
