The Cuban Missile Crisis came to an end when the United States sent out a blockade around Cuba so that Soviet ships carrying the nuclear missile couldn't get to Cuba. Soviet Premier, Nikita Khrushchev, said his ships would go back to the Soviet Union as long as President John F. Kennedy took American missiles out of Turkey.
