Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed equality for all races and to achieve this he thought that peaceful protests were the way to go. On the other hand we have Malcolm X, the leader of the Nation of Islam didn't care for equality but instead wanted blacks to separate from white society because blacks were the superior race. He sought to do this by any way possible including violence.
