Why does Karana destroy the village? A. She cannot bear to live with the memory of the people who are dead or gone. B. She is angry at the members of her tribe for leaving her behind. C. She wants to trick to the Aleuts into believing everyone in her tribe is dead. D. She wants it to look like the island has been abandoned.
