    This is partially true. An advocate does speak out for what they believe in, but they do more. An advocate works toward a goal of what they believe in. For example, if a person believes in higher pay for teachers, they won't only speak about it, but they will urge people to vote on taxes to support teachers, they will write to representatives, and they might do volunteer work.
