Ways that immigrants can Acculturate?

According to Kim and Gudykunst, there are three ways for immgrants to acculturate. First is to integrate to dominant culture. As an immigrant, integration of the dominant culture and your own culture allows you to understand both culture. You have to remember that there is no right and wrong when you talk about culture. Integration teaches you to respect and understand both cultures. Second is adaptation, adaptation comes after integration. Adaptation allows you to see how you think and act towards the dominant culture. Lastly, Assimilation. Assimilation allows you to incorporate both cultures that you learned to your daily life.
