    The conquests made by explorers Hernan Cortes and Francisco Pizarro affected Spain because d) they bought great wealth to Spain. Other than wealth, the Spanish also had the goal of converting the indigenous peoples and were successful in converting most people living in Central America, the Caribbean and South America. Spain controlled a portion of North America for a period of time as well.
