If Hindu troops won a battle against the enemy, then most likely, they would be praising their god or deity of war. Their deity of war is named Kartikeya who is known to be the child of the two gods Parvati and Shiva. In Hindu culture, he is the commander of the Heavenly army. He is often depicted with many weapons in his hands. He is said to protect his followers with his weapons and make sure that they do not get hurt.

Hindu's worship many aspects of god that may look like different creatures that embody that certain aspect. Looking from the outside, it may appear they worship many gods but to many followers they understand that each "god" one may be referring to is just an aspect of the god head.
