    In the Spanish Civil War, the Republicans represented the democratically elected government. But it msut be stated that after elections teh government shifted extremly to the communist views

    There was a great conflict between Republicans and Nationalists during the civil war. Spain was in the complete support of the established government of the second Spanish Republic against the Nationalist or rebel faction of the military.
