Why did Europeans of the 1400s and 1500s want to explore the world?

    Usually the Europeans wanted to find new resources like spices, plants, minerals and trade. The minerals most of them looked for, drove them was probably gold and silver. And not to mention, trading ports were really important in ways of keeping allies and to keep the goods coming in.
