Why did the U. S. government want to remove Native Americans from their native lands?

    Because Union General Carleton constantly sent letters to Washington DC, stating they he believed that my ancestors lived on land that was rich with mineral wealth. He nearly started another California Gold Rush in the middle of Dine'tah (Navajo land) because people really started to believe this as well.
