In 1999, the United states drew international criticism for refusing to sign the Kyoto Protocol.

The Kyoto protocol was created to support a project to reduce global CO2 emission that proven to be dangerous for the environment, US drew criticism because by not signing the protocol we seemed as a country that did not care about the environment
