How did American entry into world war 1 affect the allied powers

    Although the United States was not prepared to enter the war, the American government mobilized quickly to rally the troops. The United States Army contained over one hundred thousand men and by the end of the war it consisted of about five million. The arrival of the United States troops gave the allies the manpower they needed to win the war.
