    German aggression really started to ramp up during these years. When Adolf Hitler came to power, he gradually started imposing laws against the Jews and became power hungry for land such as the Czechoslovakian Sudetenland. Hilter's aggressiveness culminated with the German invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939, thus beginning World War II in Europe.
