    It was letter d. Thoreau was a pacifist but he also advocated the use of force when necessary. Thoreau believed that there comes a time that you have to use aggressive means to achieve change against an unjust system although Lewis was against violence particularly that of Malcolm X exultations, this call of violence is similar to Thoreau.
