In regard to imperialism, the Japanese and Americans

a. Were much more tolerant and respectful of their colonies than the Europeans were

    In regard to imperialism, the Japanese and Americans " d. Proved to be just as racist as the Europeans," although it should be noted that the Japanese were slightly more violent in the long run.
