What was the economic difference between colonial regions

    The colonies were divided into areas based on the type of crops and other industries that were more important. From Maryland down to Georgia, cash crops like tobacco and cotton were produced. The Middle colonies were producing mostly lumber, as well as tobacco and fur. The New England colonies were deep in the fur and sailing industries, which made a good profit for them. I don't know if that's what you were looking for, but this is what I had in my notes from all that.
