How did the Missouri Compromise attempt to settle the issue of slavery? It decided that the use of enslaved labor would not be allowed in Missouri. It declared that slavery would be forbidden in all Northern states. It allowed the people in the new territories to decide the issue of slavery. It divided the land into areas where slavery would and would not be allowed.

    The answer is letter D. The Missouri Compromise had separated the states that allow and do not allow slavery in their state. However, the Missouri Compromise had cause a bigger commotion to the Pro-Slavery and Anti-Slavery groups in the US
