Why were people so enthusiastic about the war in 1914

    Wars have been going their way for a while now, and propaganda and advertisement lifted everybody's spirits. Not only that, but also the advances in military / warfare technology has improved immensely. These, among many factors, made winning the war possible, and made everyone more enthusiastic.
