Well, during the Stamp Act, they forced them to pay taxes on newspapers, and such without representation in parliament. Therefore, the citizens rebelled and chanted "No Taxation without Representation"

During the Quartering Act, They forced citizens to quarter British soldiers in their home, and feed them according to their apatite; as well as give them a comfortable place to sleep. They rebelled against so as well.
