The three fifths compromise versus the great compromise was one of the early and major debates of the Constitutional Convention. It both tackled how to get equal votes of the majority of the senate. The Great Compromise was responsible for calling a proportional representation in the House and one representative per state in the Senate which ultimately saved the Constitutional Convention.
