    B. North Korea has struggled with its economy.

Over the last couple of decades, North Korea's economy has been crashing. The closed economic system has prevented North Korea from entering the global market and therefore the economy has struggled. There is no private ownership and therefore also no innovation occurring in the country. The GDP ranks 215 out of 229 countries and all news outlets indicate it will get worse with little to no access to parts and resources needed to continue industry.
