What does adam smith see as a problem between government and society

    Adam Smith is most famous for supporting free markets. He did however believe that the government had a role in society but that it should be limited. Frist was the government duty to protect society from invasion from other independent societies. Second was protecting members of society from injustice or oppression from each other. And lastly was to protect the infrastructure, educational system and a health care system. Smith had a referred to as the "invisible hand" in which the public controlled the supply and demand of the economy.
