Which of the following organ systems controls the neuron synapses in the fight or flight response?

Animals and humans respond to threats in various ways. This is the fight or flight response. Some animals will run while others freeze, fight, camouflage or play dead. When the brain receives messages from the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems through neurons, the body responds by increasing blood pressure, heart rate and blood flow to the muscular system. These responses increase muscle tension to provide the body with extra speed and strength as well as thicken the blood to prevent blood loss should injuries incur during the threatening encounter.
