Henry Wallace was a vice president to Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941 to 1945. Wallace wrote his letter saying, 'Main argument was we are preparing ourselves to win the war which we regard as inevitable or we are trying to build up a predominance of force to intimidate the rest of mankind.'
