    It could be the Policy of Appeasement where you aggressive nations what they want to avoid conflict. The best example of this was during Germany’s conquest of Europe. In the hopes to prevent a war, Britain and France had allowed the Germans to take Sudentenland from Czechoslovakia. Despite acquiring Czech territory the Germans continued with their campaign which led to World War II.
