What did the Supreme Court mean by "separate but

equal"? Why did many people feel this idea was faulty?

    "Separate but equal" was a way for the Supreme Court to legally segregate schools based on race. However, this was later ruled as unconstitutional because many people believed that black students still did not receive the same education opportunities as white students.
