    The answer is the Americas specifically Mexico. It was a popular drink by the Olmecs, Mayans and Aztecs. Explorers such as Columbus and Cortez discovered cholocate. Later it was introduced in the Spanish court and later imported to Spain. When taken with sugar and honey, chocolate became popular.
