How did the removal of native americans cause a rift between the executive and judicial branches?

    Because the supreme court, (judicial branch) ruled that the forced removal of those people was illegal. Andrew Jackson, Pres. (executive branch) sent the army and the militia to force them to move anyway. He said the court made their ruling, now let them enforce it.
