How did conditions in the west heighten the tension between the United states and Britain?

Also why did the Americans blame British for Indian uprisings on the frontier, and what did the frontier settlers see as the best solution to the problem?

    Territories in the west were contentious because both the Americans and the British wanted them. This meant that the Americans would blame the British for inciting riots in order to justify taking the land prematurely.
