What happened to the laws and traditions of the Western Roman Empire once it fell? Byzantine rulers tried to keep them alive, but people in the East didn't respect them. The laws and traditions lived on, flourishing through the Byzantines who lived in the East. The old laws and traditions disappeared very quickly once the Western Roman Empire collapsed. The western laws and traditions lived on, but only through the legal system.

    The laws and traditions lived on, flourishing through the Byzantines who lived in the East that is what happened to the laws and traditions of the Western Roman Empire once it fell in the west it was preserved by Catholic Church
