    Highest position: Chief Justice

    First Chief Justice: John Jay

    Legislative Branch:

    Makes and passes laws, essentially. (Ties in with the Executive Branch.)

    Highest position: Speaker of the House and Vice President

    First Speaker of the House: Frederick Augustus Conrad Muhlenberg

    Vice President: John Adams

    Executive Branch:

    Enforced laws and President passed bills into laws.

    Highest Position: President

    First President: George Washington
