    We are going to use a kinematics equation and the knowledge that the maximum height of a projectile is achieved when the velocity in the y direction equals 0.

    d = vt - (1/2) at²

    d = - (1/2) at²

    -2d/a = t²

    t = √ ((-2 * 4.4) / (-9.81))

    t = √0.897

    t = 0.95s
