The Industrial Revolution brought great change and prosperity to Britain in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. There was great scientific and technological breakthroughs, which increased their production in the agricultural and industrial fields, grew their economy, and created better living conditions as a result of all of the changes. New farming equipment such as tools and fertilizers created a better farming system to grow their crop supply for the growing population. Foreign trade increased as well. The introduction of steam power (replaced water and animal power) and advanced machinery was a great innovation for industry.
