    The route was known as the Incense Route. Traders influenced Arabs by bringing to them spices, gold, ivory, pearls, precious stones, textiles. The route was known to be the Incense route because of the famous trade of frankincense and myrrh which were necessary for worship and religion. Due to this Arabians grew tremendously wealthy.
