    After the United Nations determined the conflict in Darfur and concluded that it was not a 'Genocide', The U. N Security Council passed the Resolution 1556 which demanded that the Sudanese government disarms the Janjaweed and brings justice to those leaders who had incited and carried out human rights abuses.
