    One major composer of the Rococo period was Jean-Philippe Rameau, who composed, among others, Hippolyte et Aricie and Pièces de clavecin.

    Another major composers were the two sons of Jan Sebastian Bach, and for example his son Carl Philipp Emamuel and his major work was E minor symphony, Wq. 178.
