It had to give up much of its industrial complex. It had to pay all damages related to the war. The country had to dismantle nearly the entire military.

    Germany had to admit that they and their allies were wholly responsible for starting the war. Most German industry was concentrated in the Ruhr, which remained a part of Germany.
