    It may refer to White Man’s burden by Rudyard Kipling. It may be serving your captives, bind your sons to exile, to wait in heavy harness and binding your sons to exile. If I remember right it is about the white’s duty to take care of other people though in reality non-whites carried the burden as Europeans imposed their will on them.
