Who colonized the Middle East region after the Ottoman Empire?

    Well, after the Ottoman Empire collapsed at the end of World War I, Middle East (Arab provinces) were assigned to the League of Nations with Britain and France being the mandates. They took responsibility of those nations until they are able to stand alone as a nation.
