Why did radio stations have to restrict their news content in the 1930s?

    There were certain restrictions on the radio's news content during the 1930's because radio and newspaper are in tight competition at that time. Therefore to solve the conflict, the Press Radio Bureau limited the amount of news broadcasted by the radio to keep it from competing with the newspaper industry.
