Why has the Arab-Israeli conflict been so persistent? What religious and cultural factors have contributed to the persistent state of unrest in the Middle East and, in particular, in what some people refer to as the Holy Land?

    The conflict is persistant because the israelies don't want the arabs alive - they want themeiminated because they have their own set of beliefs which totally don't agree with the israelies. So the arabs are now in danger, and their country has been bombed a lot, too.
